Once more with feeling (and some rephrasing) From today around 5 hours ago Altmetric can detect links that go to research items in the Alt Text field of the image if you include one. It is not advisable practise to place links inside Alt-Text, as screen readers tend to read them out and they can't be clicked. However, some Bluesky users do place links to research within the Alt-Text, usually right at the end, so the descriptive elements of the image have been read out before these show up. If you do include a link at the end of the description of an image within your Bluesky post, Altmetric will find it. But, in line with the Accessibility guidelines, limit your links so images are usable by those of limited or no vision, and put them at the end.
