Oh man thank you so much Jeff. I literally tell people the exact same thing about the books you write!

Artist at Warner Brothers Animation, also worked on King of the Hill, drew comics for a minute in the 90’s, edited The Official Handbook of The Invincible Universe and absolutely love most everything about the 1970’s!

Hey thanks Jeff…. It was a blast doing that piece, I discovered so much I didn’t know about Japanese Genre Entertainment doing it!
Thanks Addelle, that’s awfully kind of you to say, happy you’re enjoying it!
Thanks, I LOVED and collected Marvels Shogun Warriors and a cool selection of diecast figures from Japan as a kid and knew I wanted to include a nice representation of those great giant robots!
Oh boy thanks! I’d love to know your other 4! Did my collab with Elliot Brown on the cutaway of the Spidey Mobile make it in too by any chance!!! lol……..
It was a nice opportunity to sneak someone from another property into the piece rather than going with the obvious first choice of Trixe!
I hope that means you dig it! lol….
Ha, thanks Alex!
Hey thanks Jim, glad you’re digging it! I added Goku after I had finished because a friend more familiar with anime than me said he kinda needed to be it… I’m super glad I added him!
Thanks James… I learned a lot about Japanese Genre Entertainment doing this piece!
Yep!
Here’s a tribute I did to a handful of some of the greatest anime, tokusatsu and Kaiju films, television series and manga comics of all time! Over 70 characters, creatures and vehicles are featured spanning over 70’s years of groundbreaking Japanese genre entertainment.

My homage to Giant Size X-Men #1, that debuted 51 years in February 1975! It marked the relaunch of the X-Men comic after a multi year hiatus and the beginning of the titles ascension to the most popular title in the comic book industry throughout the late 70's and all of the 80's.

Howdy Brianne!
Hey thanks Matt…. Dipping my toe in the water over here…. Threads was a non starter for me, but supposedly you can’t delete your account without simultaneously deleting your IG account… that’s a lot about IG I like… this may take a little getting used to!
That underwater container sequence was a masterclass in storytelling technique… from the long shot of Robin breaking the surface to the play of light across the container and Bats trapped under it on the ocean bottom, to the silent back and forth between them… I was floored by that sequence!
