I enjoy helping projects become reality, so I've always written previews. But as prototypes become prettier, it's become harder to discern between finished titles and those still in development. Today I finally decided to just slap a big PREVIEW sticker on the appropriate articles.

I meant the theme in ASiE is very good. I have not played dark prov.

Study in Emerald 1e is one of my favorite games. Such a cool mix of genres. And the theme of the original really comes through. Plus it has zombies!

Revisited Battlelore for the first time in a long time tonight. This game is good! I love when setup provides really interesting decisions that are fully a part of the game experience.

Dust Biters pocket edition was a lot of fun. I played some oldies this week (what else is new?): Dos Rios, Aquadukt, and Maya.
I am so intrigued by Rhine & Rhone...seems like my kind of game!

As we sent Stellar Ventures off to be tested in the wild in its final version, we were happy to see that despite the "complexity," it was actually quite intuitive to people with all sorts of tabletop gaming experience

This really paid off, I think, with the work we did with Stellar Ventures. It's always hard to assess especially while you are iterating quickly on a game, as rules creep for those unfamiliar with a game may not be apparent when you have lived and breathed the rules for so long

One of the most valuable lessons I learned from doing dev work with you on Oath and then JoCo2e was learning how to let components do the heavy lifting with rules, it lightens the perceived complexity. I find components a fascinating portion of game design that is often overlooked and undervalued
