"but star what about recovery codes" unfortunately since i had to move to singapore, that meant leaving my desktop pc behind in the states, including all the recovery codes that i saved on there. really stupid thing to do, in hindsight

i got access back to my authenticator app but that was only half of the problem

most of the 2fa codes were encrypted and i do not remember the password to decrypt them so. fuck me i guess

recovering accounts with 2fa enabled that you lost access to because your phone broke is soooooo fun 🫠
