Surprise, surprise numerous members of Trump's team have significant holdings in Geo Group, Inc. one of the largest private, for-profit operators of immigrant detention centers in the U.S.
@therealnews.com and @austinkocher.com are covering developments here very well: "ICE Warehouse in Hagerstown, MD" austinkocher.substack.com/p/ice-wareho...

Per @projectsaltbox.bsky.social, the WAREHOUSE has a capacity of 1,500 beds. Hagerstown's population consists only about about 2000 people. If opened, the concentration camp could be one of the largest of its kind in the country.
This is Day 3 of me naming and shaming DHS for all the fucking prisons and WAREHOUSES they're seeking to open to generate profit from immigrant bodies. In JAN 2025, DHS and ICE purchased a warehouse in Hagerstown, MD.
With Camp East Montana shutting down, keep your eyes open in Socorro, TX for any signs of vans or buses moving people into the warehouse at 1465 Eastwind Ave.
This site will hold 8,500 people for up to 60 days at a time.
Whoops. Shut it the f*ck* DOWN.
Shut it the DOWN. Fort Bliss is a site for rampant violations of basic human rights.
Shameful.

3/ The ordinance requires a permit before any DHS detention facility can be built. The Tribal Nations remain vigilant of future efforts by DHS to move forward on the facility. Learn more here: [1] City of Durant, Choctaw Nation take action against rumored ICE facility nondoc.com/2026/01/14/c...
2/ The warehouse has a max capacity of 8,500 beds. But just two months ago in a decisive proactive victory, the Inter-tribal Council of the Five Civilized Tribes (led by the Chocktaw Nation), unanimously passed a resolution rejecting the possible ICE detention facility.
1/ This is Day 2 of me naming and shaming DHS for all the fucking prisons and WAREHOUSES they're seeking to open to generate profit from immigrant bodies. According to @projectsaltbox.bsky.social, DHS purchased a former Big Lots warehouse in Durant, Oklahoma as a site for immigration detention.
Wow. I can't believe it has been 3 years since the tragic train derailment and subsequent chemical disaster in East Palestine, OH.
The ad industry spent years saying tracking was just for "better products." They lied. It was always surveillance infrastructure. Now, DHS is using it to target immigrants for incarceration and deportation. If Meta and X can track you, so can CBP and ICE. We do not have to accept this.

2/ Rivers is owned and operated by GEO Group, Inc. Per @aclu.org & @aclunc.bsky.social, GEO Group previously lost federal contracts at Rivers due to findings of violence and sexual assault. SHAME on DHS and GEO Group. Humans are not capital to be bought, sold, and caged for profit.
1/ This is Day 1 of me naming and shaming DHS for all the fucking prisons and WAREHOUSES they're seeking to open to profit off of immigrant bodies. Let's start with the Rivers Correctional Facility in Winton, NC. Per @projectsaltbox.bsky.social, Rivers is now pending reopening and has 1450 beds.
guys I’m literally ten days into Lent, and this is the SECOND person on the list who appears to have died after experiencing seizures in ICE custody when they’d never had seizures before
so many cases where ICE never releases an official cause of death. what tf is happening behind closed doors
Which phase in late-stage racial capitalism is this?
I was born in an Iranian prison. My parents were held in their jails. My uncles lie in their mass graves. Nothing you can tell me about the crimes of the Iranian regime that I haven't lived in blood and bone. That doesn't mean I want my people bombed, maimed, killed, their homes in ruins. If your vision of liberation comes only through the destruction of innocent lives, then it's not freedom you're after. Sahar Delijani, Iranian author
I am pro Iranian people. I stand with them against their own government’s repression AND against the imperial violence in the form of bombs dropped from the sky from Israel & the US who have already killed hundreds.
I support neither imperialism or dictatorship.
Sahar Delijani said it best:
DHS and CoreCivic's inhumanity seemingly has no limits.
DHS wants to incarcerate 1500 human beings in a WAREHOUSE in a town where the population is about 2000 people. It's gross.
Radiohead is demanding that the Trump administration take down a pro-ICE promotional video featuring a version of its song “Let Down” without permission.
Full statement from the band:
I cannot stress this enough: if we do not learn this lesson, we are bound to eventually end up in the same place w/r/t immigration politics EVEN IF the Dems take executive power.

Fair to say that the State of the Union is bleak.

NEW from me for @immcouncil.org’s blog: ICE is buying up warehouses around the country. I summarize ICE’s “Detention Reengineering Initiative,” laying out what we know about the Trump admin’s main plan to use the $45 billion they have for detention.
www.americanimmigrationcouncil.org/blog/ice-buy...
This really sums it up.
Can't really say I'm surprised.
The underlying decision is HUGE. Judge Sykes vacated under the APA "Matter of Yajure-Hurtado," the decision from the Board of Immigration Appeals that had blessed the Trump admin's new interpretation of a 1996 law to deny the right to seek bond to huge swathes of people it takes into custody.
