Parallel dimension with a little tweaking, like…their Chicxulub impactor was a bit…delayed… 😵

I know I’ve got to push their designs to individualize them more, even base them on certain dinosaur species if needed…but this is a rough draft, my head is killing me, and I’m taking a break. 😵

They haven’t all been in the same piece together for a hecking age. 💭

X…orange and ginger. C…verdant and full of spice. K…toasty, metallic, coppery, actually fucking explosive, and impossible to clean. V…fanciful; actual witch’s brew, or medicinal. H…pine. 🌲

X would immediately deflect. (I’m allergic to compliments.) C would get even cuter and melt away. K would laugh nervously. V would be gracious and give their own compliment in return. H would turn around; surely they’re not being complimented! The lab rats would laugh and turn it into a thing. 😆

At least three of the lab rats are using rocks. 🪨

Whatever I feel capable of doing at the moment. Right now, it’s a lot in the prequel area. In this iteration, of which there have been many, I’m attacking the parts I’m most uncomfortable with, and I’ve found it wildly rewarding. 🧡

What I’m trying to say, as tactfully as possible, is that the egg containing H basically “fell out of the back of a truck” in an illegal way…does that count as an injury? And K dropped it while running home! LOL… 💭

As for V…I don’t like to mention it, but there’s a reason they don’t have any of the kids they planned for, and were overjoyed to adopt H. (A final act of kindness and closure on Eik’s behalf, fudging some numbers and giving the couple the adoption program’s last egg many years after the fallout.) 💭

I speak for them all when I say this grotesque human form greatly displeases me. (They don’t think very highly of silly little mammals.) ✨

Eik used a cane after their fighting rookery injury, a broken leg that didn’t heal properly. Vik had a lot of broken bones. Those three had it the worst. 💭

The five lab rats put themselves in harm’s way, but never suffered anything catastrophic at work…fractures, burns and cuts here and there, nothing of note. 💭

X had a few fractures, scars. C had a lot of work injuries, suffers from chronic pain. K broke a few things in their fighting rookery, and has a kinked tail from their friendship-ending fight with Vik. V was attacked by Vik’s goons, and it led to multiple bouts of surgery. H earned a few injuries. 💭

Oh my god. X is a Kitboga Edna sort of monstrosity, if I can’t say me. C is the Fat Controller. K is a tall, unhinged Professor Oak. V is fucking Frau Farbissina herself, Mindy Sterling. (God, she only gets better with age.) H is a young George Harrison. 🤩

(Sorry for the reposts…I’m upset I‘ve not shared even a WIP for a week, and I’m trying to find artsy OC folks.) 😫
