A slapstick comedy of errors in which the entire prison: guards, janitors, and other inmates, are, unbeknownst to each other, all actually assassins sent by the Clintons, the Trumps, Bill Gates, and others. Hilarity ensues as they each attempt to sneak by each other and eliminate their targetโฆ
The 2029 Pretti Good Act will establish a commission to identify all agents, create a detailed accounting of all acts, and hold criminally liable as necessary. Agents who voluntarily and truthfully disclose will be granted some leniency, provided their crimes did not include murder or torture.
This was murder. Pretti did not initiate the confrontation. He didnโt strike them. He didnโt brandish his gun. They tackled him, beat him, disarmed him, and shot him.

This is becoming a foundational political agreement for anyone seeing to oppose the regime. We need the broadest possible coalition all united about the necessity of caging these fucking monsters.

Whulp, this is more relevant now than when I originally posted it.
This is to provide a caucus beli that Trump is taking the US to war as self defense. This adding another BS layer of justification to the strikes, which theyโve already been making: theyโre for the defense of the USโs allies in the region. More importantly itโs about the Alien Enemies Act. 1/
screenshot of a post on facebook from Alex Lamoreaux, depicting two versions of the "same" photograph of a bobcat in front of a pine plantation, one labeled original game cam photo, one labeling AI processed the markings have been altered on the AI photo, and the head changed and resized text says: Oh! A neat goose hybrid posted to โWhatโs this Bird?โ but when you zoom in on the photos the bill details have been too manipulated by AI photo editing to be accurately assessed for which species may be involved. Scroll onโฆ A cool-looking Red-tailed Hawk that someone is wondering which subspecies it might be - right up my alley! But when you zoom in on the photos literally every feather group has been so heavily manipulated and altered by AI editing that itโs impossible to determine subspecies because the photo is essentially fake now; just a mashup of whatever AI thinks parts of a Red-tail should look like. Scroll onโฆ WOW! Thatโs a remarkable trail cam photo of a Bobcat! It almost looks like a painting!โฆ but the head looks oddly smallโฆ. hmmmm. After some prodding the original photo is produced and sure enough it had been so heavily altered by AI โpost processingโ that the photo posted was essentially a digital mock-up with totally different proportions and fur markings. No longer the photo off the trail cam; it may as well have just been โcreatedโ by AI from scratch. This stuff is killing me. My days on social media are becoming very limited. We canโt even trust simple, everyday photos of animals to be real. The wildlife community needs to quit editing with AI, and we need to start calling out photographers that are using it. Our reality is being destroyed all around us.
this field biologist does a great job highlighting the insidiousness of AI editing
these one-click AI edit buttons are incredibly appealing to many photographers, amateurs and professionals alike, and are framed as innocuous
this is worth sharing and educating people about

The inefficient and/or counterproductive methods some land managers use to manage native shrub species in grasslands kinda drive me a little batty, sometimes. Especially when you consider how limited resources available for conservation are.

When a parrot wanted to connect with a distant friend, a touchscreen showed a selection of other birds available online. The parrots learned to activate the screen, designed specially for them, by touching it gently with their tongues rather than pecking aggressively with their beaks. "We had 26 birds involved," said Hirskyj-Douglas. "They would use the system up to three hours a day, with each call lasting up to five minutes." The interactions ranged from preening and playing with toys to loud vocal exchanges. "When we went through the data, we found that most of these parrots had favourite friends," said Hirskyj-Douglas.
Pet parrots which typically live alone (whilst those in the wild live in large flocks) were given the technology to call each other. They would use it for up to three hours a day, and developed favourite friends ๐
