My first butterfly sighting this year (a Peacock) in our garden at Harman's Cross near Swanage today. Hopefully the first of many more sightings. @savebutterflies.bsky.social @dorsetbutterflies.bsky.social @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social

I have been wondering why our suet block bird feeder gets emptied so quickly, now we know why. This pheasant makes short work of a suet block! @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social

Herald Moth on our utility room door yesterday - mayby a good place to hibernate and camoflaged against the wood. Gone by this morning, or would have found a suitable place outside for it @savebutterflies.bsky.social @dorsetbutterflies.bsky.social @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social @dorsetmoths.bsky.social

Martin, That is one fantastic photo! I have taken many photos from that spot but none as good as that.
