As a lad, I thought Laura Petrie seemed like the kind of gal to marry - responsible, but loads of fun too, and a terrific dancer. I also imagined that things would be great when there were no cameras around and no network censors to keep happy, as demonstrated by her stunt double, below.

Hasn't he broken enough laws yet? Somebody needs to stop this guy. Where's Judge Roy Bean when you need him, only more in the style of Judge Isaac Parker.

I've had a long life, filled with magical moments of live music, but there was one incredibly funky rendition of "Born on the Bayou" that I will never forget.

Here are two influential Republican operatives reviewing "Project 1965," which included tricks like toilet papering the homes of Democrats and leaking tips to newspapers about Democrats not having perfect attendance in church. Fortunately no one ever stooped so low again.

This is an Easterly daguerreotype from the late 1840s of Keokuk, a Fox man who is described as an "artist" who was "having a hard time believing some of the bullshit he has been seeing lately."

I regret to inform me that I now live in a country known worldwide for being the bad guys who instigate violence and unnecessary suffering. Under the direction of an evil, sociopathic dictator of course. I'd like to get back to being known for being mostly okay as soon as possible.

There's an old Massai saying that just occurred to me:
"If you're going to take the bull by the horns, be sure you know where you're taking him."
It makes me think about starting wars and perhaps what to consider in advance of those decisions.

I'm sure it's time to complain about daylight saving time, since we get to move our clocks forward by an hour this weekend. So I'll start: Man this is really going to mess me up and I can't handle it! Wait a minute - I think I do feel spring fever coming on. This could get interesting.

In listening to my 50 year old cassette tapes a few interestings things turn up. Like: Tom Petty was not a fan of Bobby Bare and gave him rather the cold shoulder! I hope they get a chance to reconcile in Rock and Roll Heaven, which does have a Country Western Wing.
