Today's abysmal jobs report is a reminder that tax cuts for corporations and the rich don’t create jobs or grow the economy.
What's required is investment in working people — and better wages.
When workers have money to spend, the economy grows and businesses create more jobs.
Remember this.
ICE is STILL in Minnesota and STILL terrorizing communities. Reporters that say otherwise are either uninformed (which....) or lazy (which... ) or just repeating regime lies (which... is also extremely bad).
People are still missing, people are and will be traumatized, businesses demolished...
Trump did say he saw those who serve as marks.
He's proving that now.
It would be crude to suggest otherwise.
Trump is the markiest mark that ever lived. Putin is telling Iran what, where, and when to hit, and Trump is all "Please, sir. May I have another."

(And no mention of the immigration-fascism issue? I'm sure plenty of fans who would ordinarily walk across broken glass to support their teams are noping out of the opportunity to be an ICE guest for an undetermined period.

RIP to Jesse Jackson. His funeral is today. I wanted to share this clip from his appearance on Sesame Street in 1971. His important words ring just as true today as they did back then.
It's a lovely car. I've driven my sister's non-plug-in version of the current generation. It's just a little too small for one common use of our vehicle. (As is our current, antique plug-in Prius.) We're looking to get just a bit longer cargo bed with the seats down.
Plus, we're likely to buy a 1-2 year old used vehicle when we do finally make the leap, and currently BEVs are depreciating along a glide path much like that of a set of car keys released from one's hands.
The cheapest new plug in Prius near me is just over $34K. The RAVs are all right around 50K. A new AWD Hyundai Ioniq 5 can be had for $33.6K. The Toyota BZ is $34K. VW ID4 is a bit more, 38K, but still much less than the RAV.
So the plug ins don't really appeal.

The newer plug in prius (two generations newer than ours) is lovely, but slightly too small for our needs. The RAV 4 PHEV is perhaps slightly too large (goldilocks anyone?). Both are quite expensive, as much or more so than v. attractive BEVs.
It's my hope we go that all-electric route next time.

I mean, probably the Senate will do the stupid thing, but the circs now aren't what they were in Jan. 2025. Mullins is cornucopia of crappy takes and actions which some of the Ds, at least, will bring out during the hearings. An off chance things cld get interesting.
Been looking long and hard at that one.
Only reason we might not get it is because the Hyundai dealers near us are not actually that close by. We're spoiled. We're walking distance to the Toyota dealer that services our car now.
What did you get? (We're going to make the change with our next car, which will either be when our driving adverse son actually needs one or when the car he would get, our current 2013 plug-in Prius finally dies.
