A person looks at the ceiling of the Altamira cave and its beautiful paintings (mostly bisons)
A collection of limpet shells from the Altamira cave
Traceology of the limpets from Altamira cave
Being easily accessible and providing a high meat yield (compared to other molluscs), the limpets were regularly eaten by prehistoric coastal populations.
But they were also used for other purposes : ornaments, and even as a tool to paint the Altamira cave with ochre 🧡

Damn. You've got me thinking with that one 🤔
A woman sits on a wooden chair on a porch that is covered in orange fall leaves from the trees in the background. She reads a book calmly. She has a long black skirt and a loose white shirt, and her hair is tied in a bun. She has circular glasses that fall below her nose as she looks down at the pages in her book. Next to her is an intricate plant winding around itself in a pot next to her chair.

Illustration of four witches in black pointed hats in a grassy field, raising their wands toward each other and the wands are shooting out colorful sparkles and streamers. Four cats dance at their feet. In the background is a castle, party tent, and balloons.
It's my birthday today! Woohoo! I'm 42 (but mentally still in 2006, hah!)
