Mr Big update; we scared the shit out of each other as I was leaving the house today.
He decided it was a good idea to hide between the door and the frame and almost got squished while I was closing it ;;
He ran outside tho, so my week of spider spooks is coming to an end

He’s been living near our ceiling for a few days so I knew he was around— I’ve taken to calling him Mr Big— but this was the first time he’s been at eye level :’)

Measured him while he was down tho and I’m sure now he’s a male (only a lil booty), but he’s also got a ~10cm leg span—! °д°

But on the other hand it’s also helped for me because there’s so many movements towards appreciating and respecting our wildlife. So even if ’m scared; I know enough to tell if theyre dangerous or helpful!
And I’ll take a huntsman any day since they keep the nasty ones at bay! XD

Arachnophobia as an Australian that worked in customer service is seeing a big ass huntsman out the corner of your eye and yelling “HELLO!” While almost falling over trying to get away from it
