What good are notebooks?

Not here for anything in particular, you'll just have to go with vibes (although films [movies], motorsport, politics, and culture seem to come up a lot.)

Oh interesting. That round is after I last looked, and the website now has lot less corp history on there.

That's part of the simulation. It accurately simulates you need to practice for ten years before going anywhere near a race.

I looked into who funded startup costs for Reflect and it was mostly people who are on the board or SLT of Reflect, lightly disguised as obscure VC fund names. I don't think they have any intention of actually doing this, something else is going on.

Hard Sci-Fi did mean "a little bit of SR in it somewhere" for decades, until we invented Greg Egan.

Looks like the junk IndyCar course is running last the national archives, so will it be Sting Ray Robb or Santino Ferrucci who crashes into the Declaration of Independence

Hi everyone. Cinema *is* more popular than ballet or opera. That is a thing.

Don't think of this as a "gaming" story. This is about impact for pretty much any industry with a large international market of conference-goers. And academia. It is, to use a term I believe I first saw in The World Is Flat, a clusterfuck.

Plus, there is plenty of additional analysis available showing that Jack Dorsey is constantly full of shit.

I think that headline did me more neurological damage than a jigger of 1950s paint would do.

Politico's stance is "The oil market is fucked, please commit us further to a fucked market which is inherently time-limited."

That is quite genuinely something a fundamentally thick person would write.

It doesn't "claim" that, it discusses this theme with the context available in 1979. 90% of booster arguments can be demolished with one sentence from somewhere else in this book so don't let this put you off reading it. Always good to make the point that there is a body of knowledge from pre 2022.

This could be *extremely* good cover for Labour actually unhooking the price of not-oil energy from oil energy which is about twenty years overdue.

"No taxation without representation" is what America were attempting to *un*fuck. If anything parcelling up land and dishing it out is what fucked English & Wales politics, so really the whole thing is the French's fault 500 years before America

I like the oil price picking up 15%+ *during a Cup race* that is very on the front nose.

I am assuming there has been an economic event this evening but your snarks are all too clever to let me know what it actually is.

Hate to tell ya this but the 6502 was from Pennsylvania and was the major factor in keeping Acorn cost down, and the unusually flexible 6522 VIA design is how the Beeb became such a flexible teaching and laboratory item.

Lush 3-2 for me (I think people forget the 303 is on there because the J-6 vs vocoder thing goes so hard)

@chartlifepod.bsky.social Slowly catching up. Can we just pause to note that Darren House of X-Press 2 is excellent #nominativedeterminism

(My fave track is Smoke Machine, and yes @edbiggs.bsky.social it is I who bought the other copy of Muzukizum)

Capitalism: when so many people watch F1 on hoaky sites that Bitdefender run a campaign selling defensive software to the people visiting the hoaky sites.

The Daily Mail is not a credible source. I don't mean this as a general snark; it has such a track record of bullshit that Wikipedia does not consider it a reliable source.

Original story might be right or wrong but Daily Mail coverage is not evidence either way.
