We need campaign finance reform so badly. Overturning Citizens United, bringing in ranked choice voting, all would be game changers. Our elected officials cannot and will not represent the people if they can be bought.
i don't think most anti-vaccine parents are bad parents. we are drowning in medical misinformation. it's really hard! and a lot of these parents are more accurately described as vaccine hesitant than ideologically opposed. they have good faith questions that deserve to be answered with compassion.

Iran’s leadership was horrific towards Iranians. That said I can’t think of an example where USA assassinated a head of state and regular people of that country were better off for it. If there is a case it’s the exception. Innocent Iranians are the ones who will pay dearly. This is not liberation.

Strongly recommend this excellent piece. It actually understates the US failure: Brazil and S. Korea aren’t outliers. Quite the opposite. Since 2010, 31 democracies have convicted or banned leaders from office. Accountability is the democratic norm. America is the sole outlier.
This is really good. Has so much to say not only about vaccination but also on how to have transformative conversations that really can help folks change their minds.
Sharing facts isn’t enough. We have to start with empathy and asking questions for understanding.
