I like that you're not locked into any specific ecosystem..! I can read library books directly in the libby app. I also use the nook app and stuff hosted online...I could even just read PDFs from my drive if I wanted to...!!!!
As a fun gift to myself I bought the Boox Palma 2 Pro and it's already reduced my phone time by a lot...I didn't realize how much I'd read on my phone until now...
