It’s a labor issue.
this is kind of bonkers tbh
the books have actual chatGPT prompts left in the text?

Great game at a great price from the creator of Cave Story, check it out
This is going to be the norm soon with the Internet littered with fake content. I've already caught fake 'quotes' from my books. Fake summaries. And yes, I saw a similar list online that had me releasing a fake book this year.
The band is called "Talking Heads" and yet their heads mostly sing and play musical instruments. Has anyone looked into this?
These guys think they're spewing cutting-edge posthumanist theory and it's all just the corniest, shittiest science fiction that actual writers wouldn't waste a minute on.
Dude, that rules. I love the contrast and the epic scale.
the main concern is that with my genetic data the government can make a tiny clone of me that they can torture to get even more of my data
When I'm reading a book on Kindle and the "Popular Highlights" feature shows that a ton of readers highlighted some inane aphorism it actually makes me think less of the book.
The reason I went back to making Balatro 3 months after I essentially gave it up in March 2022 was because I was bored but the internet was out so I couldn't play Rocket League
Fantasy, horror, sci-fi, and history!
genAI NPCS are shit for many reasons but also:
NPCs with one or two lines of dialog clearly communicate to the player that this character cannot help you progress.
We don't just choose not to include thousands of lines for NPCs because we're lazy or lack resources. It's bad design.
You should all be watching for this game to drop tomorrow!
Also watch the @shortgame.fm feed for TWO episodes about it!
Working on my eleventh book of 2025! Off to a great start. Anyone have any recommendations? #booksky
Wikipedians can be sticklers for their citation policy. What happens when someone reviews this page?
The trustworthiness of the information online is getting paved over by automated content farms.
One summary for this novel went so off the rails that it added a talking dog to the story. Right now there is an accurate summary on the Wikipedia page of the book, but it doesn’t cite a summary elsewhere on the web.
the web is cooked. I was reading a book that I wanted to find a summary of. Several top search results were for websites that had full “summaries” that were 75% AI hallucination and contained no more actual info about the book than you could gain by reading the dust jacket.
Usually, we dive deep with full reviews, but events like Steam Next Fest give us a sneak peek at what’s coming—and maybe even our next favorite game to cover! #IndieGames #SteamNextFest #Podcast
A big theme in the book had been the role of cycling in women’s liberation and cultural change. It’s called Two Wheels Good by Jody Rosen. A fun book for progressive cyclists.
I love the tonal whiplash. The chapter before was all about trick cycling, then you get page after page of stuff like
“In the film Fuck Bike Number One a long haired man is shown riding a stationary bicycle… of a sort.”
Then it’s back to “The king of Bhutan is an avid cyclist.”
I have been reading a fascinating book about the history of bicycles and cycling and then out of nowhere BAM chapter 7 of 15 was devoted to people who have sex with their bikes. I haven’t laughed so hard reading anything in a while.
You heard me right; I’m saving this country.
I didn’t buy the new Monster Hunter today because it released on the buy-nothing protest today.
This is a constant in online discourse, more so on platforms like TikTok where algorithmic shuffle-feeds have devalued the creator/follower relationship. Viewers forget that things have context and develop Main Character syndrome to an incredible degree.
I’ll stop using y’all as unpaid therapists in a bit, but it’s endlessly frustrating watching teams that have shipped games get dismantled.
Mostly because each shipped game is kind of a miracle! You have a team of fucking wizards and you scatter them and their arcane knowledge to the four winds?
Still thinking about THE LONG GOODBYE. It’s obviously not the Marlowe we know, but that wasn’t really the point anyway. The point is there is no room in LA for a chain-smoking tough guy with a soft heart. Gould plays Marlowe as a slob and a rake-stepping loser and it rules.
Longer article here, which has a nice picture of my book, so: winteriscoming.net/the-murderbo...
