If you work with the neurodivergent and/or ADHD communities, or know someone coping with a family member, #TheHonestyBox by Lucy Brazier is the book you need to read. The carers need your compassion too. They also need an Honesty Box as a healing outlet. Wonderful book!

BREAKING NEWS! My books are now live on Bookshop.org, where every purchase supports independent book shops. I know many readers are looking for opportunities to support smaller independent sellers. Smaller independent authors also appreciate your support.πŸ₯°

Jigsaw puzzles, not my thing usually. But in these crazy times I've discovered puzzling allows me some quiet headspace. When the news means I struggle to even escape into a book, a beautiful image slowly taking shape draws me in. Here's to finding that quiet headspace. Goodness knows, we need it.

I'm reading Dan Brown's The Secret of Secrets, having loved his other books. This one seems a tired rehash of the others, sadly.

Money Money Money, must be funny in a fish man's world. Those were the original Abba lyrics, I believe.

Daphne de Maurier's Rebecca. I had a boxed copy on my shelf for years but once I started it, I adored it! Such beautiful, evocative writing, I felt I was in that house.

Beef Wellington on a wooden chopping board.

That two days after Christmas feeling of 'what the heck just happened?' This is why you make two Beef Wellingtons so dinner's already made and you can collapse in a heap. Happy Aftermath, peeps!

Dear #BBC,
If you give that man one single penny, I will cancel my TV license payment. I will not provide funds to bolster his extortion, hatred, and hypocrisy.

It's December 4th and only four doors are open on my advent calendar. I am absurdly proud of myself. (Posting now in case the 5th doesn't go so well.)

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why I don't write song lyrics. But if you're searching for home, enjoy exotic locations, or need to get away from it all, I write that. Sing your way to my bio for links.

Dismembering, contorting, and slashing a 339-page novel into a two-page synopsis would be a great premise for a horror movie. I'm having nightmares about it and I already know who did it.🫣😱

A most interesting discussion about the controversy surrounding The Salt Path with the journalist who broke the story, @chloehadj.bsky.social. Many thanks to all at the #dulvertonliteraryfestival for hosting.
