sometimes i worry the brief and negative experiences i've had with some queer people have spiderwebbed into a network of one sided tales of horror and poor personability on my part, and has thus poisoned the well for any future attempts at community within queer spaces

I just saw people arguing about "put more body positivity in heated rivalry" and others saying "its not meant to be realistic, its a fantasy" and I'm like omg you're both annoying! Fat people can be part of the fantasy! We shouldn't be there to make people feel like they did a good job.

I want more fat people in sexy shows and not for inclusivity and representation or whatever, I want it because fat people are extremely sexy.

Also imo the way we simplify things down in kids entertainment only helps further the incorrect assumption that everything animated is for children, because the people with the money don't think animated media will sell well to adults, so we get standards and practices de-fanging 2d works etc.

It's weird to me that people seem to think that for something to be challenging, or thought-provoking in children's media, it has to either be visually horrifying or upsetting. There's a whole breadth of things you could include, but it all gets thrown out with the bathwater because "oh no scary."
