Good point!
OUT TODAY: Solar met 61% of US electricity demand growth in 2025.
Solar met it in the places WHERE demand grew, and increasingly with batteries WHEN demand grewβοΈ
1. US elec demand grew by a fast 3.1% in 2025, rising 135TWh, as solar rose 27%, by 83TWh π§΅
βOil Prices could rise to a levelβ¦ at which consumers change their behavior β.
(-on BBC radio4).
Whilst I wish no one hardship- for goodness sakes, about time!
We cannot continue polluting gas guzzling cultures and must just transition to cleaner energy even faster, now.
Bring on the incentives!

And ironically, maybe our steps to help our own local independent energy, water, and food security might take away drivers for all this to occur.
I try to no longer buy food imported from Israel (etc) as I canβt condone people being killed for their home lands to be taken to grow and sell us more.
πππ
Iβve never been there.
But Iβve met many good people whose families were from there but had their homes taken.
Fortunately alive, but suffered these few years watching 100,000s of their people be killed.
Charities trying to help include the usual good people at:
OXFAM, saveTheChildren, WFP, MSF, and I think CARE Intl, PLAN,
maybe MercyCorps, WorldVision,
or many smaller that specialise in trying to help Palestinians recover from their homes being relentlessly bombed
Typo: βnot starve to death.β
But seriously, thatβs whatβs happening, but as Israel will no longer let press into Gaza we were only hearing about it a bit from posts from the ground. Now with humanitarian aid stopped again, no home, power, water, many are just starving to death.
Help save if we can
It's simple really, it's because he faced no real accountability for his actions.
But $1-2 billion on healthcare to SAVE lives is too expensive.
Strange. Mines not bad but strangely full of loads of American posts when I do like to know whatβs going on in the country I actually live and vote in
Well whatβs the point of the follow feed then @support.bsky.team ?
Fascinating. So there is no main open feed?
Itβs like, it discriminates?
You canβt see things it doesnt want to feed you?
Itβs horrific how IDF are bombing, destroying and genocidally murdering entire communities in Iran, Lebanon and Gaza
There were some other people like that. Applied their talents to work out technologies to kill millions.
Name began with N and had a z in it
This is what has worried me all along.
Just canβt believe nor understand this.
IDF could spend their billions helping rebuild and being seen as heroes. But theyβd rather kill millions?
Iβve spent years, decades, obsessing over the Bush Administrationβs Iraq WMD lies, writing about them, debunking them.
I can think of no lie about Iraq WMDs told by Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld et al that comes even close to the enormity and absurdity of this lie from Donald Trump.
Got you. Yes canβt disagree with that good point!
Please send some Sun π this way.
Momos would be nice too ππ
Oh f#%*
Iβm jealous. Thatβs awesome.
Why did we save the Dragonboating for weekends? A team like that could have been a unicorn business mega success!
Butβ¦ it shows support for right wing so I donβt quite get your point.
You mean that it is irrelevant vs actually policy decisions? If so, sure, but Hes better hurry up and improve those rather than let Shabana PullUpDrawBridge lose labour even more members and voters

BISA CEO @julietdryden.bsky.social will be celebrating Michelle Bachelet, Rebeca Grynspan and Mia Mottely, the women either all standing or likely to stand to be the first female Secretary General of the UN! π
You took it as sarcasm?
The sooner she is the one moved on (out of Gov) the better
All she needed to do was to reopen safe and legal routes and allow asylum seekers to work while claims were being processed.
Instead we get yet more performative cruelty crap.
Scrolled but didnβt get that so yes, maybe tailored by algorithm OR there are so many posts that 10 secs later lands me in 100s more
It basically indicates that Starmer doesnt get it.
We can be polite and caring without utterly missing the point and being obsequious
