Why does laundry feel so hard? Some days, if there’s a choice between wearing that hideous mustard-yellow shirt my mother-in-law gave me because she hates me or doing laundry, I’ll choose the ugly thing.

We were so thrilled to give our talk at The Museum of the Cherokee People.
Here are some moments from the visit.

3. Kirk and me with the wonderful Avery Maples, who organized the event.

Thank you so much for all the wonderful poetry you post. Your account is a social media bright spot. Glad to have found you here (I already follow you on Instagram).

This makes me happy.
Butter.
Staying off most social media so I can preserve my last shred of sanity, but sending love your way.
The only thing good about this political shit show is that it's making me write with fierce fury on my book.
Writing nonfiction (and it's going to be an amazing book!) but I love poetry and art beyond all things. Where are all the poets, poetry lovers, art makers, and art lovers? I want to follow you!
