Does anyone else get posting blocks? despite having lots of material, you go thru phases of finding it really hard to post? Maybe it’s Grief, maybe social media doesn’t have the same spark anymore, maybe it’s feeling like there are things more important to be giving your attention to in the world.

I would like to see my dimples again and enjoy my baby face while I still have it. Might be time to shave my grief beard. Been growing it since summer 2023. I have a block. Do I just go shave it right now? Or take some time to make a little art of it.

The tagline ' a queer southern romance' and my name 'lauren jane k' are more visible. The cover has a faint pink undertone, a little blush of innocence it most certainly does not deserve. In the sweltering heat of a Savannah summer, a missing Civil War-era photo album sets two strangers on a collision course of danger, desire, and obsession. Brock Charleston—a private investigator with a penchant for finding what shouldn’t exist—is hired to recover the photo album after its seller is brutally murdered. The deeper he digs into Savannah’s underground erotic world, the more the whispers start pointing toward one unlikely witness: Ronnie Barbarian, a queer tattooed cellist grieving her grandmother— and hiding a past she refuses to name. Ronnie wants nothing to do with Brock or the violent world circling around her. Brock wants nothing to do with the sharp, magnetic pull he feels toward her. If you had me in a room for an afternoon, with a willingness to do anything you like, talk about anything that interests you, what would you wanna do? What would you wanna talk about? What/How would you want to create?
I had those exact same thoughts! It’s such a curious and weird lil anatomical feature. The deep down longing as a non binary person for a tangible reason for these feelings.
Monochrome, arms, hairy chest, beard. Feral energy. All fours, closeup, Negative space.
Also experimenting with a “show don’t tell” approach to social media. Let images give their own context, and also see if I can still find an audience without hashtags.
Going thru a monochrome phase. Been fascinated with details and negative space. Little stories, abstract crops. Sometimes trying something new is a great way to make your brain remember how to play. Revisiting shoots and finding new perspectives.
