The Federal Book Ban bill uses funding threats to pressure schools to remove books.

I finally watched a movie!! For the 1st time in 2 weeks.
THE CARETAKERS.
1963. Dir. Hall Bartlett
W/Joan Crawford and Robert Stack.
Poster is sensationalist and titillating, but the movie itself is anything but.
It’s a thoughtful look at how the mentally ill were treated at the time.

Yes, I feel faint. This hiatus is neither voluntary nor sustainable.
I’ve not watched a movie in almost two weeks.
It feels as bleak as it sounds.
Thank goodness Olympics are done (husband was a fan) so I can watch tv again at day’s end.

Every day, I see so many “both parties are bad” posts.
Look, if you can’t decide, at this perilous point in our nation’s time, who the WORST guys (by far) are, you’re either incredibly daft, or incredibly disingenuous and actually on the worst peoples’ side.

Sorry, just not into watching sports.
Except European bike races bc they ride through idyllic countrysides.
I know the athletes worked hard to be there, and I admire all of them for that.
But I’m just not interested in watching.
