Given NZ's membership of Five Eyes, shouldn't it be the other way around?
I'd call it "failing upwards" except they've become the leaders of the Liberal party.
We should be getting ready to press go on our mechanism to insulate the economy from an oil price shock. It's not like we don't know that all our episodes of inflation have been powered by oil and warmongering. But, why have a plan when we can increase debt costs and throw more people on the dole?
Acknowledged, but that seems to have been a low turnout election in general. But whether new or normal it doesn't speak of a healthy democracy.
