And I do understand why peeps were frustrated; I still have some thoughts and frustrations with the DLC myself, but it's what it is... I can appreciate it for Ansbach.
But man, the way the discourse still persists... 😞
Honestly the main issue with the DLC seems to be that so many people DID have their own interpretation of the characters(to sum it up: Miquella = Good, Mohg = Bad). But the DLC kinda defied that expectation, and threw the initial interpretations off by a lot...
Either I lack media literacy because I sympathize with Ansbach, or I'm not a true Mohg fan for believing Mohg to be the victim at the end of it.
Tired of it.
Like the DLC went out of it's way to say whatever Miquella's initial intention, his plan would have ultimately brought more harm than good. Likewise, imo, whatever Mohg was, he deserved better.
The discourse has been going on since the game came out. Ever since the DLC it's only ever widened the rift. You'd think by now people would have had a little bit of grace; but no.
... Man I wish my enthusiasm for Elden Ring didn't dry out. I still love the omen twins, but there's too many people who believe there's a wrong way to enjoy a character, or are stuck up on their moral high horse.
They're hoping we'll forget about this in a few months and that we'll resubscribe to Nitro so they can get back their funding for this nonsense. Cancel yours and do not forget about this.
