As a bonus, when I lived in Houston, we had a major rain event in 2017. I worked near the Church of JOEL (aka Lakewood Church).
When it was raining, despite no flooding at the Church, JOEL refused to open the doors so people could escape the flooding.
I gave up on Christianity for good then.
Growing up with both parents being Atheist, I never was really pressured, but was Protestant for years.
In college, a (now ex) friend came to my place trying to get me to go to his church.
He spent about an hour ripping other religions as inferior and worthless. I realized religion wasn't for me
