Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers.
This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.
Auschwitz took time.
Being mortal is one of the most meaningful books I've read. It changed my way of practicing. I now give it to trainees as a leaving gift.

It feels like a difficult time of year...really feel not being part of a of a conventional family and on my own, and no longer having my dad. The fuss is all for Dan really. Thank you.
