I deleted the installments of my digital monthly series “The Discovery & Development of Tandem Magic” from Substack and Patreon when I discovered that eReaders were feeding content into their parent company’s A.I. platform. Now my book is exclusively available in print.
Another #ComicArt re-inking I just finished. A Double Page Spread I reduced to ink one 11x17 page. This is from Todd McFarlane’s run on Spider-Man. I learned a lot on this one too. Mostly, I have a newfound appreciation for any inker on any Spidey book. The webbing… UGH!
BTW, I inked this on Eon HD Plate 130 art board using Eon Velvet Squid India Ink. Hunt 102 and 107 nibs, Zebra G Nib, Raphael 8404-2, and Rapidograph pens.

My objective for this piece was to incorporate the half-tone pattern directly on the board instead of using a post-art application like zip-a-tone or Deleter half tone transfers. I think it came out quite nice and doesn’t distract from the rest of the art. The original is by Jim Lee & Scott Williams

I’ve GOT to get off social media other than promoting my projects. I keep getting fed politically divisive content and conspiracy theories that send me into a rage. I just keep having to tell my brain that Social Media is NOT news and should not be considered a reputable source of journalism.
Any chance we can come together and decide unanimously to stop posting content that looks like a meme? I’m so sick of seeing that garbage aesthetic. Sorry. I try to stay positive most of the time. I’ve just spent the past 30 minutes talking to an algorithm (that apparently ignores my requests).

I'm currently working on a 9-part monthly serial (not a comic book) and planning to launch it in August on Patreon. Some feelings I'm having right now as a creative writer (in no particular order): terrified, excited, depressed, inspired, shame, pride, self-doubt, confidence. Can you relate?
Well, my plan to abandon IG lasted about 2 weeks. I missed important messages from customers and had to reinstall the app. Considering a dedicated phone number for Eon now. Ugh.
