Also my experience with the show in the early aughts.
Also my experience with the show in the early aughts.
Odysseus had his crew lash him to the mast to keep him from doing an interview with Chotiner.
The Colombian farmers we talked to said that Japanese green coffee buyers were some of their most discerning, most picky, most rigorous buyers in the market-- to an extent where it could be more burdensome than to sell to other buyers (but they wouldn't get the expected ROI).
Iβve been experimenting with the homemade versions of various condiments; tonightβs was tartar sauce. Happy to report that it really did elevate this otherwise very much not homemade dinner. #blueskysupperclub
A chicken walking on the beach the caption is: If you are seeing this the curse is lifted have a good day

Wish I could've seen it with a full mix using the Gabriel Yared score. Nothing against Horner's score, mind you, just wish I could experience what might of been (or almost was).
The sauce is a mustard cream sauce with bacon and onion, thickened with roux, flavored with thyme & tarragon. If Iβd paid real money for this is in a nice restaurant I would not feel ripped off.
I do not mind bragging about this one, as it was both labor intensive and time consuming, but maybe one of the best things Iβve ever made at home. Chicken in mustard veloutΓ© sauce, with egg noodles and simply steamed broccoli. /1 #blueskysupperclub
I am a pretty emotionally resilient person, but a double feature of Hamnet and Train Dreams left me a wreck. Both marvelous films, and although very, very different they are similar thematically. I recommend both, but would humbly suggest you do not subject yourself to both in the same day.
the actors and their characters alike, with such believable and satisfying emotional journeys.
Damn, I'm gonna miss checking in on these kids. Hat tip to the Duffer Brothers and their team for creating such an impeccable piece of pop culture over this last decade.
We finished Stranger Things last night. It's wild to think about what an amazing job they did casting that first season, to wind up with this incredible group of actors who could carry the show through all the phases of children turning into grown-ups; /1
Streaming is really good nowadays, but holy smokes, a Dolby Vision UHD Blu Ray disc played back on a good OLED really is just jawdropping. Truly we live in an age of wonders.
With an assist from Santa Claus, I have swapped out the Oppo Blu Ray player for a new Panasonic UHD Blu Ray deck. Set it up tonight and broke it in by watching an all-time fave of mine, Alita: Battle Angel. /1
Found a sports bar in Sherman Oaks to watch the Peach Bowl. The place is packed, Iβm lucky I squeezed in & got a spot at the bar, every table is booked. 90% rooting for IU, I feel like Iβm in Bloomington.
Marty Supreme is a *whole* lotta fun, a sort of throwback to belie anyone claiming they donβt make βem like they used to. No idea what even genre you could possibly slot it into, just Cinema.
Impeach him and, if Venezuela requests it, send him to the Hague to stand trial for crimes against humanity.
What a day. All three of the Brothers Schulz made it to the Rose Bowl to witness the Hoosiers shellacking of the Crimson Tide, continuing their improbable season. A great start to the New Year.
A very fun thing about IU playing in the Rose Bowl is seeing all the tourists in Hoosier gear at the Academy Museum and around the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Charlie Chaplin making the Gold Rush in 1925 and his granddaughter being the star of Avatar in 2025 is a nice reflection of the Babylon montage.

You shake yourself awake in the cold North Atlantic water. You are not online. It is July of 1858. You are a baleen whale, and you have changed your mind. The future most not come to pass. The telegraph cable must break.
Merry Christmas!
βRain smacked Los Angeles. It splattered on the palm trees, sizzled on the neon, gurgled down the dirty boulevard. The town was sick. They hadnβt seen sunlight in almost a day. But I had the cure. A fifth of magic and a sack full of cold, hard joy. βHo,β I said once. It was enough.β

The algorithm steered me to Duke Ellington doing the Nutcracker Suite and it is *glorious*. And the album cover credits are so cool:
Ellington * Strayhorn * Tchaikovsky
Good stuff, check it out.
The 60 Minutes shenanigans are beyond the pale; I have accordingly canceled my Paramount+ subscription.
It is very confusing tbh
Caught a matinee of Paranormal Activity at the Ahmamson, so wandered down here for an early post-show dinner.
Thank you, Frank.
My favorite thing, though, is just how much Elsbeth energy host Reba McEntire is bringing to the proceedings.
I am very much enjoying the live Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting show on NBC; I continue to be impressed by how much the broadcasters have upped their game, this is airing live, broadcast in 4K Dolby Vision / Dolby Atmos. The live sound mix for all the music is great. /1
