trump is taking political hits on iran is because he is now undermining his supporters' ability to win online arguments. you can just own them ruthlessly on the iran thing now for being dumdums. and this they cannot bear. they can tolerate any amount of murder and mayhem, but not being owned online

Two pictures: one of a mustachioed man who looks like the smoking breakroom aliens from Men In Black and the other of my beautiful wife Nicole. Both photos were taken by the extremely talented Mindy Tucker.

Pam Bondi loves dogs. Always had them, one after another. She got involved with dog shelters and dog rescue, and once pulled off to the side of a busy road and got out of her car to chase down a stray. Another dog she helped was a Saint Bernard named Master Tank. She adopted him from a shelter after he was lost during Hurricane Katrina in 2005, not long after her own Saint Bernard had died. The story has been told but bears repeating. Master Tank belonged to Steve and Dorreen Couture and their grandson, who was 4, recovering from the murder-suicide of his parents and losing his dog during the storm. Bondi said the dog was a β€œwalking skeleton” and β€œdying from heartworms” when she adopted him. The Coutures eventually tracked down Master Tank, but instead of giving him back, Bondi hired a lawyer, who accused the Coutures of abusing the dog, which Bondi had renamed Noah. β€œShe lied,” Dorreen told a Palm Beach Post columnist years later. β€œMy little grandson begged her to take the dog home, and she refused. She thought she would just wear us down. That we were unstable people and would just quit.” The case was settled out of court, with Bondi securing visitation rights, but she never did visit. She got another dog.

Reminder: All it would take to end the murder of American citizens by an untrained government goon squad is 16 Republicans in Congress voting with Dems to defund ICE (or 23 to impeach and remove Trump β€” 3 in House & 20 in Senate). That’s it. 23 Americans can vote for the public and end all of this.

🚨 Breaking from the US Senator for Connecticut. πŸ‘‡

There you have it.

ICE has never been about immigration enforcement.

It's a weapon used to brutalize Americans and stoke enough fear so that Trump can rig the elections and usher in dictatorship.

I can't put into words the feeling of watching our government, a hive of evil antisocial filth, the absolute worst humanity has to offer, colliding with the best. Ordinary people trying to help each other, risking everything to stand up for what's plainly, unambiguously fair and right. It's unreal

As tens of thousands across America protest the violence that ICE sows with impunity, federal agents shot and killed another person in Minneapolis today.

ICE terrorizes our cities. ICE puts us all in danger. Abolish ICE.

Ineptitudinous & just now
Simon, you posted something just now (since deleted? or maybe I just can't find it? that included this statement:
"I realize that things are tense in Minnesota right now, and hard; but l, this community, and the DFL are not the enemy. Trump is, Miller is, ICE is, Putin is. That people there took so much time today to degrade this virtuous mission of ours these last 24 hours since wildly and dangerously off-mission."
Simon, the constant text messages from the party-you know, the ones that essentially scam the elderly (cnn.com/interactive/202...β€”have a really poor track record of delivering resources to candidates, but a tremendous track record of enriching consultants. A recent analysis shows that, of $100 gathered by these text message campaigns, only $1.60 gets to candidates (thenation.com/article/p...). If this is a bad look for institutional Dem fundraising, l'd like to politely suggest that the party commit to no longer doing it. To be sure, I'm in perfect harmony with you on this point: Trump, Miller, ICE, and Putin are the enemies of our party. But do you understand that, with Dem leaders not even deigning to visit Minnesota, we might reasonably infer that the party is less invested in fighting ICE (you know, defending our immigrant neighbors) than Minneapolis activists? Time and again we see Dem institutional leaders fail to use every ounce of their power through every available means to meaningfully obstruct the MAGA regime. (Yeah, including objecting to unanimous consent!). You know, democracy is... actually on the line. More people are going to die. We really just want a party that can pretend to understand these things.

Seriously fuck off. Don't lecture me. Do your homework. Understand what we do here. You and your community acted shamefully today. This is not the right place for you. These posts are insulting. The treatment I got today from people in Minnesota was disgusting. You have no idea who I am, what we do here. Some dude sent some email to a list and the pile on happened. It's ridiculous. What we say and do here every day is that we respect one another. We lift each other up not tear each other down. We stay focused on the mission - beating Trump - and not fighting with one another. We are all playing different positions on the same team. Here we demand respect, dignity - something that your community did not give me today. Literally hundreds and hundred of lying, slanderous posts. I have never been been spoken to or attacked by others in our own family in my entire career as I was today - all for just helping. It was shameful behavior. You are an arrogant asshole coming in here for 5 bucks and lecturing me under a pseudonym, too cowardly to use your own name and image, without having any idea what we do and say here every day. So fuck off and good luck.

I went on Substack to suggest to Simon Rosenberg that there might be some valid reasons for Minneapolis activists to be suspicious of Dem party fundraising. Ooof.

THE DESERTER - "The mask of humanity falls from capital. It has to take it off to kill everyone and tenderness in the world. It has to take it everything you love; all the hope off, just for one second. To do the deed."

"And then you see it. As it strangles and beats your friends to death... the sweetest, most courageous people in the world." He's silent for a second. "You see the fear and power in its eyes. Then you *know*."

YOU - "What?"

THE DESERTER - "That your friends shouldn't have taken the bait and we should be focusing on the midterms, not criticizing Democrats. This is the most important election ever. "
