Quick Switcher is native to Obsidian are so are Bases, which can be very helpful to show what kind of notes you have in a folder without installing more plugins.

The big issue is that too many people don't master the basics and immediately reach out for plugins and get lost.

Ha ! It is because Obsidian wasn't really built with the idea that you should use your sidebar to search for notes !

Completely counterintuitive at first, but if you use plugins like the Quick Switcher or Omnisearch it will quickly start making sense.

I think it's time to take a break from Bluesky.

Nope they've been very careful to hide the body count this time. That said, unlike sport matches history tends to reveal its results months, years or even decades later when people have perspective and people who investigate have done their job.

Individual PCs are going to get expensive for a while and Sony could potentially make sure to have access to costly components at a better price to mass produce their consoles and then sell them at a better value. So it makes sense.

Oh my god you dipshits stop spreading the link.

None of you even *read* the fucking thing.

It's based on RUMORS AND GUESSES from a PC World article.

My god y'all are such fucking rubes.

I've given up on doing that once I realized I prefer playing a handful of games all at once in different genres that do not overlap with each other, yet all fit a particular mood.

Alas, expecting any kind of media literacy from people who watch ragebait content all day is a tall order.

Back to today. It happens that French colonial heritage has been questioned a lot recently, especially by french people who come from the former colonies and this has spiraled to become a focal point of the culture war in that country. It is in this context that Ex33 was made.

From a pure media analysis you can discuss for a long time in circles that were context matters. From a historical pow, "La Belle Epoque" is always seen with a degree of nostalgia in France and its colonial past buried between "mistakes were made" and "white men burden's" arguments.

Apologies for the shameless self-promotion, but I made a source port for Catacomb Abyss that can optionally show a wider field of view.

Social medias are a good way to vent out the burdens our hearts. What about, just for once, not post anything, avoid that short burst of instant gratification. Instead live with the friction of a heart that ache and see how, despite it all, you can make something good blossom in your vicinity.

Experience taught me it's better to follow curators like you because scouring steam to find games right now is almost a full time job

Honestly, AI slop PRs are becoming increasingly draining and demoralizing for #Godot maintainers.

If you want to help, more funding so we can pay more maintainers to deal with the slop (on top of everything we do already) is the only viable solution I can think of:

I'm playing Slave Zero (1999) on PC. A simple and fun mech game that overstays its welcome a bit. It was fun to make the game actually work on windows 10 and enjoy how it presents the scale of the mega city in which the whole game takes place.

Its counter culture referencing the past and with no name of its own or sense of identity. 100% accurate.

More Slave Zero, I've managed to play through the game without problems outside of a few sound issues that a reloaded save can easily fix. Nothing special about that game, but worth going through for the sense of scale of how big your mecha feel when you look down and tiny when you look up.

Played it a few years back it is incredibly cool but also very dense and doesn't explain itself well for more casual audiences.

It is also a proof that the US gaming industry has been in retreat for a while and unable to change course. Which is sad because a lot of people worked hard for it to not happen, they just do not have any say in the final decisions.

It's pretty much why so many people when they learned the recent news about Microsoft are saying "Gaming is dead".

To paraphrase a friend: stay on the path, make good things. Indie has always flourished in the face of AAA distraction. Times are bad, but let others deskill, pivot to nonsense or chase impossible outcomes. People really like playing videogames. Suits forget that every 6 months or so.

the immediate impact is one thing, but this is one of those weeks in the industry that's gonna ripple out over years, in ways we'll only learn about through reporting.

so i guess i'm saying, now is a great time to support and read the work those reporters are doing, so they can chase it.
