My mom worked in factories, in sales, in theater, all sorts of stuff. My dad was in the army, so my mom was always having to get jobs that were available wherever we moved to.

Yeah the only Boomer moms I knew who didn't work were older with husbands who had been in the workforce for decades and finally made good pay.

I went to 11 elementary schools plus 2 Head Starts, 2 schools in junior high, and 4 high schools.

It took me years to recover from that.

I'm still bad at learning names because I grew up never seeing the point in learning a person's name.

In my experience, the white folks who don't talk about politics are either conservatives or liberals who want to remain friends with conservatives. Lot of my fellow white liberals are not as progressive as they'd like to think. It's a big reason they stay quiet about their racist friends and family.

Seeing so many replies with movies I saw in the theater, many as an adult, has been amusing.

For me, the best part of Breaking Bad was all the supporting characters. Walter White was the least interesting character in the show to me, and he just got more annoying as the show went on.

I wouldn't go this far, but my issue with Breaking Bad is Walter White got to go out the way he wanted to go out. And it was clear it was because Vince Gilligan was really attached to the character and couldn't deal with an ending where Walter got the ending he deserved.

Oh it's been so many years since I had the energy to care.

But I do remember the best outfit I ever had was a pair of dark jeans and this dark green turtleneck I wore in high school. It's when I realized I look really good in darker colored shirts.
