OTD in 1953 Stalin died. He lay for hours in a puddle of his own piss while his flunkies pretended they didn't want him to die. He was denounced by his successor.

Trump is turning America into a 3rd world country. Our only strength is our voracious spending and military.
But hey, what did you expect? You allowed a seditious convicted felon, failed businessman to be YOUR president!

While the McDonald’s CEO gets roasted for his awkward burger taste test...

McDonald’s is among the top employers of workers who rely on food stamps.

And McDonald's CEO recently raked in $18.2M β€” over 1,000x the company's median employee pay.

That should leave a bad taste in your mouth.

The UN itself is a joke, and this voting is nothing but a meaningless gesture, but this US abstention tells so much about one of our security guarantors. Allies my ass

Rugby Europe should be encouraging more depth at the highest competition level outside the 6 Nations.

Taking this championship back down to 6 teams is a stupid, entirely ignorant decision. Even the bottom team should not be automatically relegated but should fight with the Trophy winner over 2 legs. And really, Rugby Europe should be targeting a 10 team (2x5 pool) champs for the future.

To be honest there are several cross border lines between Croatia and BiH, both the federation, and Respublika Srpsa (RS), either not in operation or just being used for freight. And no direct passenger service Sarajevo to northern RS area, like the junction city, Doboj. Very sad all round 😒

The train is getting a bit outdated tho still comfortable, but a Japanese YTer commented in a recent trip report that it's starting to have reliability issues. It's almost 30 years since it came into service so JR West have a looming decision to make.

Yeah the problem is that it switches routes seasonally. I wanted to take it down the Kii Peninsula coast when visiting Japan last year but the Spring season it was operating the Japan Sea coastal route instead 😦

Yay! Common sense prevails so that Te Huia will run for the full term of its trial. Only fair as so far the trial was impacted by Covid, and Auckland rail works. Want to see how it does actually operating during public holiday periods like Xmas-New Year and long weekends @darrendavis.bsky.social
