Both on the list.
Both on the list.
RS is on the list - brilliant 2-player game.
The very pinnacle of sophistication.
Vienetta in a glass? Yes, please!
Yes. Thanks to @chriissyd.bsky.social for the suggestion.

My favourite 2-player Commodore 64 games.
Brutal head-to-head brawlers, superb sports sims and chaotic co-op classics β these were the games that gave us epic moments, massive laughs, lasting memories and forged friendships for life.
Totally. Absolutely timeless.
Welcome to March ... 1986!
40 years ago this month, Yie Ar Kung Fu punched, kicked and leapt its way onto the #C64
I thought you might like it! ;) I haven't done a fave 2-player C64 games list. It's an excellent suggestion! Will defo get on it. Thanks for idea!

My Favourite βBβ Games - No.1
Bubble Bobble
Pure arcade perfection. Fab graphics, irresistibly catchy music and superb two-player co-op combine to create an experience thatβs endlessly replayable. Cute, colourful and utterly addictive, itβs one of the greatest C64 games ever made.

My Fave 'B' Games - No.2
Boulder Dash
With clever level design, mounting tension & that ever-present threat of falling rocks, Boulder Dash is one of the most enduring & addictive games on the C64. Blending fast reactions with careful planning, it's an utterly compelling 80s classic.

My Favourite βBβ Games No.3
Beach Head II
This superb sequel contains 4 fantastic sub-games, each packed with tension. Slick animation, awesome speech & fiercely addictive gameplay combine to make it an absolute standout β particularly when battling it out head-to-head with a mate.

Give me a shout in October!
Very satisfactory facts! Thanks for that. :)

My Favourite βBβ Games - No.4
Bruce Lee
Although graphics & sound are fairly naff, when it comes to gameplay, Bruce Lee is magnificent. Brilliantly designed, ridiculously addictive & endlessly entertaining, itβs a true C64 classic β especially when youβve got a mate playing as Yamo.

My Favourite βBβ Games No.5
Buggy Boy
It may not look like the original, but C64 Buggy Boy nails the feel of it. Blisteringly quick and with razor-sharp controls & courses packed with risk-and-reward moments that keep you coming back for more, it's one of the C64βs greatest racers.
One of my fave C64 arcade adventures. Brilliant game.
Yes - the sound effects defo deserve a shout. Clang! Clank! Urgh! Brilliant!
Now, that's a great fact!
Zip Stick is my fave joystick. Like many others, I had a few QS1 and QS2s BITD but they weren't very good and often broke. Also, nice calendar!
The #C64 A-Z
My Favourite βBβ Games No.6
Barbarian
This brilliant beat-'em-up is best remembered for its gory decapitations & controversial ads. Easy to pick up & play, and with fab graphics & animation, atmospheric arenas & a fantastic two-player mode, itβs one of the best of its kind on the 64.
Yes, Go! games were generally crap, but this is a relatively unknown and underappreciated gem.
Totally get what you're saying. It's beautifully presented and technically awesome but something is lacking and its longevity is limited. And yes, it was defo overrated.

My Favourite βBβ Games - No.7
Bombuzal
A clever and demanding puzzle game built around logic, forward planning and precise movement, Bombuzal features striking isometric presentation and fiendishly crafted levels. Original, absorbing and immensely rewarding to master.

My Favourite βBβ Games - No.8
Bionic Commando
An excellent conversion of the Capcom arcade platformer that trades traditional jumping for an ultra-cool grappling arm. With excellent mechanics, a superb soundtrack and brilliant gameplay, itβs a fantastic title.
Yes, it was stunning at the time.

My Favourite βBβ Games - No.9
Barbarian 2
The Dungeon of Drax ditches the one-on-one arena combat in favour of a sprawling fantasy adventure. More complex & ambitious than the original, it mixes exploration and brutal action, with gorgeous graphics and a suitably macabre atmosphere.
Yes, it does look similar. DD came first, and I'm sure it would've inspired the Batman game.
It is a bit like DD - an arcade adventure with puzzle and fighting bits in a comic-book style. What made this original was how the screens overlaid each other to give it the look and feel of a comic. Have a look at www.youtube.com/watch?v=znxv...
