Capitalism.
I feel really brutally called out here.
I'm kinda astounded that my ICQ UIN is older than that one.
Ooh so pretty
Publicans.
Both biological ones. (Not sure about my step-grandfather, which is a shame because he's the only one I met, & I liked him.)
Both may have served in WW2, as well, but on opposite sides of the world. One was also a police sergeant.
I am so grateful for night classes for all those who work & want to further their education, but after training myself to work best during the day & preferably sleep early when tired, suddenly switching to night classes (followed by morning classes the next day) is bloody brutal.
She is home, purring, & now with no teeth. At all. The specialist dentist vets love her so much that they made notes on her file that she's a "sweetie-pie", drew a heart on her medication bag, & her surgeon wrote to tell us how gorgeous & lovely she is.
Scandal! It wasn't her, it was another beagle?! With her distinctive bay/bark?!
I'm surprised because she's not full beagle, she's a border collie/beagle/corgi cross, so she's never sounded quite like a beagle, just close... Sort of beaglesque... Even when she goes full werebeagle.
If you've ever wondered how loud our dog can be, Aaron just took her for a walk, I've got the door shut, & I'm pretty sure I just heard her distinctive bay/bark from more than a block away (I turned on her tracker to see where she was).
Them beagle genes are strong.
A small, short haired tortishell cat with a white chin curled up in a ball, upside down, in contented sleep. Her back is very gingery and is facing the camera, the rest of her is more toasted colour, black and dark gold. She's lying on a cream coloured chair cushion. She has a shaved foreleg from previous anaesthetic.
This tiny cinnamon bun is back at the specialist vet dentist today to try to remove her damaged teeth & make her mouth less sore. Please cross your fingers it goes okay, she's in good hands & I have faith in them, but she's nearly 13 & it's complicated surgery with a higher risk of complications.
I honestly thought I'd notice a huge difference with the lower MP count, which is why I was asking about upgrading etc.
I hear that. I'll have to see if I can find its charger anywhere... That's the one big downside.
I honestly haven't even touched it in ages, I got so used to a camera on my phone that I never carry it, but I miss it, and came across it whilst moving, so...
So I shouldn't look to upgrade my 2010 Olympus?
Oh no.
I was going to scroll all the way back to find a photo post on which I could tag @vagabondvivant.com , but I have ADHD & not enough sleep & so much overwhelm so I'll just ask here: are micro 4/3 cameras still a viable option for photography when you don't want to carry a full DSLR?
One of my lawyers used to refer to my ADHD as a superpower, & you know what? When I get home after 11pm & suddenly get a flash of insight that allows me to fix my dishwasher, I reckon she was onto something.
Strangely, Aaron wasn't excited to be woken up to hear the good news about the dishwasher.
<insert joke about marrying a horror connoisseur (horroisseur?) here.>
Oh agreed, I just acknowledge that I loathe the clean-up enough to not want to bother. I'm calling it a sign of maturity, even if it's my only one.
Time to network with your bed.
Yeah, the clean up is what puts me off, too. I also went the Hario route, else I guess there's Chemex too? They make good coffee, and even if the carafe is a bit fiddly to clean, the clean up for the coffee part isn't as bad as a French press.
You know what sucks is when you come up with a really punchy statement/phrasing for your writing, then realise that it doesn't quite fit where you've gone, & you need to redo it, but can't come up with something quite as good as the original.
Boy howdy, am I hoping that autosave plus splitting my thesis into several smaller documents will protect against whatever damage could be caused by Word just crashing on me wholesale. I printed a bunch out last night to edit, so hopefully I haven't lost all... 30k words.
I'd argue they're incredibly serious. They really don't want anyone with critical thinking skills.
I absolutely agree with you. Also, is he any of those things?
As an aside, I wrote an essay for my history undergrad capstone on the theory that the Celts as we envisage them are actually a fabrication. The whole topic was really fascinating & is hugely contentious.
There's nothing quite like the feeling when you finally, after 2+ years, find a quote that might just work for the title of your thesis.
Petbarn etc stock it, it seems, if that helps!
Their treats at least seem to have no fish in them at all, or if it does the packaging says so. They often have green lip mussel & /or hoki oil in the wet (& maybe dry) food though so that might not help, but they might be worth a look if you haven't tried them already for Sky.
I was looking at what was in our cupboard & I found that we had some treats from Feline Natural, an NZ company. I checked the ingredients, found no fish (it was lamb flavour), then checked their website & they seem to be really transparent & comprehensive with listing everything in their pet food.
