Because even one person subjected to discrimination is wrong. That's how civil rights works. There ain't a bar of "this many of this group must be oppressed before we defend them." You defend one and you defend a million.

If you treat us like human beings and show people the actual actions being taken against us and how cruel and unnecessary they are, how we are just trying to live our damn life, people will listen. And if they choose not to, then they are not a Median Voter. They're a conservative who is embarrassed

You talk to a median voter about trans issues by pointing out the cruelty. Saying things like "an entire state invalidated their driver's licenses overnight and made it illegal for them to use them until they get a replacement" or "they cannot use a public toilet safely in over half the nation"

"You talk about trans issues by saying they are a distraction and also pointing out there are so few of us that it isn't worthwhile dedicating time to persecuting us" is not the fuckin woke win that I see people portraying it as and it sucks

though, I'm actually sort of not joking.
this right here is the final hurdle of bravery for most unchallenged guys, the one final bridge that's too far for even the most vocal leftist: pushing back on this shit, when a woman isn't present you have to save face for, for no other reason but principle

I have met very good, kind men who I would otherwise trust, who I just know deep down cannot surmount this challenge. The fear of ostracization from the group of other powerful men they consider friends is just too strong, they're too scared, the risk is too great.
