@markfrost.bsky.social question: at what point did you get the idea to tie the Lewis and Clark expedition to Twin Peaks? Did this come to you long after season 2 ended, or was this something you already had in your head back in season 1?
This was tremendous — I also had no idea about Rowling’s relationship to Nabokov. I know Martin has referenced many writers of genre/speculative fiction as influences, but has he ever noted writers of literary fiction? If so, do you know who those might be? Thanks for the amazing read!

the clear sign that they just don’t see these kids as real people is the endless concern over hypotheticals and the indifference to the reality that actual children are more likely to kill themselves because of these bans
