So worse news. Opened up the Sega Genesis, no visible corrosion or broken connectors for port 1, which means it may be faulty capacitors.

And the soldering at the power socket is broken, which explains why I needed to put pressure on the cord for it to turn on.

And I do not own a soldering gun 8T
