fantastic viewing of the horned sidewinder today at the phoenix zoo. an absolutely incredible animal. it almost looked fake lying there in the sand!! i wonder how many of these i’ve wandered past in the desert and never noticed….

this was a really beautiful read alex. while i’ve never dealt with hair loss, i can relate. when i was a kid, i also felt like my long hair was apart of my identity & my mom would force me to cut it short or get bangs as punishments. it took up until a few years ago to be comfortable with short hair
it's really wild how far I've come with my hair since most of it fell out

All the needle-felted raptors so far! Goshawk, American Kestrels in a nest box, Broad-winged Hawk, Red-shouldered Hawk, and Osprey with a Shad.
52 little felt Broad-winged Hawks in an embroidery hoop. Gotta cut more and add more detail.
Red is all done?? I love her so much, the time spent on all her stripes was totally worth it. My favorite hawk ❤️
Put everyone together for a group pic, I'm pleased with how they all turned out! Starting my next piece - a Broad-winged Hawk kettle (or hawknado, as my dad calls it 😆)
