But when councils spend the money they need to on infrastructure, including water the TPU runs media campaigns complaining about wasteful council spending. It needs to be noted that the NZ media is utterly complicit in this smoke & mirrors.

I only joined the Greens a year ago (although I've party voted for them for years) and have been very impressed by their democratic processes and inclusivity. There are many ways to express disagreement without complaining anonymously to the media and making spurious claims about the process #nzpol

Labour MP ejected from House after 'trifling' over Peters' remark Kieran McAnulty ordered out after challenging Speaker Gerry Brownlee's decisions on comments made by Winston Peters.

Kieran was ejected because he told the truth:
"Failing to require Winston Peters to withdraw and apologise for something that was quite clearly an offensive comment, when you have required that of other members — indeed, other party leaders — runs the risk of you applying different standards"

Brownlee lays down the law on Winston's racism, but refuses to force him to withdraw and apologise because "the moment has passed". Of course, he applied different rules to Chlöe Swarbrick back in August, because he's a partisan, misogynistic hypocrite.

The anti-cycleways talking points and spittle-flecked Facebook rants are putting cyclists at risk from aggressive car drivers. They get so angry and feel entitled to take revenge, cutting bike riders off at roundabouts, parking in bike lanes, close passing, yelling "get off the road". It's bullying.

Tangata Tiriti whanau, this is where we need to be a buffer. We need to be a bold, loud buffer so when these buffoons try hijacking the conversation we need to stand up and tell them to shut up.
Yes, they will then tell us to not be divisive, so the response need to be - you first.
