Ordikai's Guide to NOT Getting Scammed -Use VGen (Artists are vetted by platform). -Never pay directly via paypal when commissioning a VGen artist (bypassing VGen to avoid its fees is against TOS and likely an impersonator). -Paying Via card/stripe allows VGen to hold funds until the commission is complete (OPTIONAL but protects clients and artists). -Set deadlines BEFORE chargeback policies expire (It's the easiest way to protect your finances). NEVER SEND AS FRIENDS AND FAMILY on paypal for commissions, thats how scammers prevent you from getting a chargeback. -Never trust solicitors or "cold callers" asking for commissions (most are scammers). -Trust your gut, if something feels off talk to your artist and ask a friend for their opinion. -READ/UNDERSTAND TOS (Make sure you OWN the model after its made and arent just licensing it from the artist, its rare but there are cases of legal issues and demands for future payment by the artist. -A Live2D artist/rigger should never ask you for the model files in the future, scammers will in orderto resell your model. ("Rebuilding portfolio" is a nonsense excuse when showcase videos are saved online).
