Busy ass Tuesday!

My post-run knees 100% understand and agree 🤣

I did some preliminary work before heading out... and then post-game is just kinda tieing up loose ends. But yeah lol at this point, very "whatever you can give us is good enough; we understand" lol

*cracks open another Kirkland brand hard seltzer* "Yes, the deliverables are ready"

5-6 miles as a middle schooler >>>> 5-6 miles as an adult. I absolutely felt like it was endless and I would never recover by the end... fast forward to 40-yr old me, and I'm doing like a 4-5mi run every other day no issues lol

100%. We got out there at 9ish by Bobby Hebert's to set up shop.. and less than 4 hours later, it was all over. I miss going out and spending the whole day out there (I mean I could I guess... but hard to justify chilling and drinking with 2 kids running around lol)

I think my favorite part of Mardi Gras is checking back in with my out-of-state work clients after getting back from the parade route.... they are 100% expecting me to be blasted outta my mind... so gives me a lot of leeway for what actually gets done today 😂

I don't think I ever marched Metairie, only Uptown route (starting on Napoleon). But the Vets portion of the route is long AF.... doesnt even account for the up and down Severn & Bonnabel segments.

Growing up in Metairie, it was always the quick & easy for us during Mardi Gras when we didn’t feel like making the trip uptown. Caesar used to be top tier!!! I wish Mardi Gras Day lasted longer than 2 hours though… kinda depressing remembering we used to have full days on the route

Some float footage from Bacchus! As mentioned earlier, the day parades, while not as visually stimulating, were definitely a more kid-friendly situation. So we ended up bolting early. Still a great day… more to come in this thread over the next couple days!

Mardi Gras Dump!

Saturday night was low-key. Passed on Endymion for Kenner’s very own Mini Muses… Krewe of Isis. Signature throws were Kenner Bras (iykyk) and yours truly caught one. Wrapped up the evening with SPICY Cajun Citrus-seasoned boiled crawfish from Big EZ Seafood. 🦞🍊🤤

Def hits a different note! And their meat pies… 🤤

Waiting in line for King Cake for 2 hours sounds like degenerate activity, but I arrived at 8 am. They had some REAL degenerates out here waiting since 5am.
