Top image shows a green Ruang before the eruptions of April. the bottom shows a grey Ruang coasted in ash on 4/27/24.

The eruptions at Ruang in Indonesia have clearly coated the entire island with ash. Sentinel-2 images from 4/12 and 4/27 so the island going from mostly green to mostly grey. Could be ash fall or from pyroclastic flows, likely the former.

According to PVMBG, as of the time of this post the alert status of Ruang is still set to IV (High) which is the highest possible value.
