Across London, snow removal crews have plowed more than 200 cm of snowfall so far this winter.
Itβs been a very different winter than past years, and crews continue to be out across the city, and are ready for the forecast ahead.

"In a typical year, Londonβs road plows are fully deployed approximately six times each winter. This winter season, road plows have been fully deployed 32 times so far.
Sidewalk plows have been fully deployed 35 times, when an average year experiences eight deployments.
Application submissions are now open for the 2026 Tim Hickman Memorial Health & Safety Scholarship.
The scholarship honors the memory of Tim Hickman, a 21-year-old part-time City of London arena employee who tragically lost his life in a workplace accident on March 23, 1996.

While the City of London is still well behind on our targets for the Climate Emergency Action Plan, we do have a new tool which can help us make more informed decisions: the City's Corporate Energy Consumption Dashboard.
There are many rescue and shelter organizations in London that have adoption programs. If youβre thinking of getting a cat, check out London Animal Care Centre, S.A.L.T. Rescue, Purrfect Haven Cat Rescue or the Humane Society of Middlesex & London to see if any of their felines are right for you.

Meet Stan, our shelter cat. My partner adopted this ten and a half year old fuzzball a decade ago. Heβs affectionate on his own terms and fiercely independent. Heβs very playful, appreciates gentle pets, but despises being held or carried.
The HMCS Prevost is a Canadian Forces Naval Reserve Division Base, located in #LdnOnt, established in 1938 for recruitment & training. The base now hosts various monuments & the Battle of the Atlantic Memorial

Boyle Memorial Community Center will be open tonight, January 20th, from 9pm to 9am tomorrow morning to provide indoor space for up to 60 people
Iβm bringing a motion to SPPC that aligns #LdnOnt 's Economic Development Strategy with the Downtown Plan.
Both strategies must move together with clear priorities, accountability, and a shared focus on strengthening business confidence, investment, and long-term economic growth across the city.

Outdoor #skating season is back in #LdnOnt!
The #VictoriaPark rink runs from 10am-10pm. The #StorybookGardens skate trail will run 9am-9pm starting Dec 20 ($5 adults/$4 children). Skate rentals are $7.
#CoventGardenMarket rotary rink will return in Jan 2026.
