I ordered two - one just the graphic novel (as a gift) and one the graphic novel and merch (for me). I got the graphic novel alone but not even a shipping notification for the other order… I feel that fear
That said, a local nerdy friend or two wouldn’t be unwelcome. My friends are supportive and lovely, but it’s not the same as someone who *gets it* - you know?
Once I have a social script, I’m down to do things on my own. I had a blast by myself at the LA con yesterday thanks to @dorothynyc89.bsky.social meeting up with me in Dallas last year to guide me through my first con. (Forever grateful our fandoms align and overlap, friend!)
I went on my own too. My partner offered to come but a) one of our dogs is sick and b) they fully support my ND special interests but wouldn’t be as excited as I was. I’m happy to be a friend down for nerdy fun! (We just need to coordinate LOL!)
That is such a cool idea!! I got David to sign my GO book last summer in Dallas (still want Michael’s on it too) and a photo this year. Nothing as cool as my bear!
