Here are four from our outdoor classroom
Yes! Itβs taken four consecutive night of carving to give everybody a go.
A pumpkin for every child. My work here is done. π
Yes - I use the roller coaster - basically the same visualisation
Chemistry dating advice is the only advice they will need
Today I went out of my way to explain why certain bonds form in terms of electronegativity, stability and energy - but the students only got it when I resorted to βthe hydrogen really wants to bond with the chlorineβ and then everyone got it. How do you avoid giving atoms feelings? #iteachchem
Isnβt that just the way of it though?
Weekend to-do list: 15 items. Completed: just 3.
Planned a Year 13 chemistry lesson on aldehydes, a GCSE astronomy lesson on Earthβs interior, and rescued my canoe from my old school. That is it. π¬
Does anybody have a photo of chemist Gladys Elsmie - who worked with Brady to develop Bradyβs reagent? She has the same name as Elvis Presleyβs mother and thatβs is all google will give me.

I donβt think I have kept up to date with the community on here. How is it going? Is conversation thriving here?
Quick question. I am on the second day of a DSL course today. Are you only a DSL when in post as THE DSL or is everyone DSL trained a DSL? Like, imagine you are a pilot, but not flying this plane as THE pilot. Is THE pilot the only pilot and all other pilots not actually pilots? How does it work? βοΈ
Next year a new challenge - I will be a housemaster of a Y9 and Y10 boarding house.
But donβt worry, chemistry and physics teaching support will continue!
Atomic kitten. I will not apologise for this.
Very interesting. Thank you.
Almost, but it was the mass of the KHCO3 that shouldnβt have been in an enthalpy of reaction calculation
Prizes for anybody that can spot the mistake in my work on the board behind me.
My departing Y13s bought me flowers. I have never been bought flowers in my life. π₯²

Just cool before it was cool to be cool. Also, fun fact, he lived on Earth when Earth was here in space. Since their time the Sun had made a single two hundred million year trip around the Milky Way.
Woah. Plateosaurus was a legend. You take that back.
Idk but Therizinosaurus looks a bit silly
