Heartening sight on London Overground today.
Pleasure, Steve πΆββοΈββ‘οΈ
I wrote two short plays & included a non-speaking part for myself in each one linktr.ee/thunkpresent...
Iβm just grateful that anyone would want to read my book, tbh.
Oh yes, me too.
Brilliant. Pay rise in order.
1950s?
Yes, me too. Our towns & cities have become sites of zombie apocalypse as countless millions shuffle and veer unpredictably, heads bowed.
I imagine Gary Peacock and Jack DeJohnette grimacing or smiling grimly as they just put up with it.
Nomads is great. What I want to know about Jarrett is how do his many sidemen & accompanists feel about his, er, vocalisations? I love Jarrettβs work, solo & otherwise, but I worry about the noises & what they say about him. That itβs all about him & he doesnβt care about anyone else.
Iβve had this album for ages but never really listened to more than the odd track popping up on shuffle. Not sure about the string & brass sections. Will FF to Nomads.
Just started listening to Expectations to test this out. Will report back.
Sounds wonderful. Yes, I did a lot of research & enjoyed every minute of it. Some of it in libraries & archives, but mostly on the ground.
First shoots appearing on the banks of the Mersey.
In which @kaggsy59.bsky.social makes my jour.
That will have put a smile on @confingopublishing.bsky.socialβs face.
Sarah, thank you. Itβs amazing to hear that The Directorβs Cut inspired you.
Thank you, Maylin. Iβm really pleased you like the non-fiction. Best way to get PF is direct from @confingopublishing.bsky.social
Kaggsy, youβve made my day. Thank you. Thereβs nothing quite like the feeling you get when you know youβve connected with a reader.
It is an offence. Itβs assault. Pity you didnβt get the reg.
Glad you enjoyed it, Malcolm. Thanks for coming & for posting.
What the hell does mumchance mean? If itβs real Iβm going to start using it.
He was charming. I mean, I did call him a genius, and he said how could he mind that.
I said hello to him once when he was at the far end of thisβ¦ this what? I donβt know what to call it. Itβs not a counter, or a shelf. But itβs my favourite place to sit in this excellent pub.
I like to think I have a sixth sense for hazards as they approach. Or as I approach them.
Itβs a 200pp novel, but quite a number of them have a lot of white space on. I think Iβd like to have read La Modification more than Iβd like to read it, if you know what I mean.
Yesterday I read Practice by @rosalindbrown.bsky.social walking into town & back (ten miles total) & was surprised by this line, p89: βBe damned the series of historical moves which created reading as a stationary activity. She wants to be walking all day.β
Iβve not heard that but doubtless will now notice it.
Itβs about nuance, I think, Brian.
