Yeah it deffo has a totally different vibe! Like the first series of Blackadder almost. There was a boat race then he set fire to some criminals with a burning mop!

Amazing! Itβs such a killer cast, always enjoyspotting him playing heavies in sixties things
Itβs fucking brilliant isnβt it? Not sure Iβve ever seen the first series before. All filmed round here too, so we get to play βLOOK SAFFRON WALDENβ when itβs on
Shocked, as we embark on a Lovejoy binge, to read that there was a five year gap between the first and second series.
Hahaha what the hell, almost glad I missed this last night!
This record is, quite simply, one of the greatest British pop records of all time. It's also a big "fuck you" from a band who many people thought were past it- including their producers Chinn & Chapman who had penned all their singles up until now but had nothing to do with this one. A global hit.

Definitely one for @dimorphodons.bsky.social @bsrg1.bsky.social @phonicunderground.bsky.social
Great record! βLovely Peopleβ sort of became the soundtrack to staying somewhere really peculiar in Austin, a few years ago
The nerdcode in the runout groove means this is one of the first 300 pressed, and this UK pressing isnβt listed on βscogs, which I reckon means itβs the unusual combination of Brilliant, Rare and worth Β£5.
I mean, people *should* have been, but I think lots of high quality yet aimed at the teen market albums must have sold appallingly in the UK, pre the early 70s.
We Can Fly by The Cowsills, UK mono pressing
Back in sixties Britain when LPs cost one fifth of a weekly wage, I get that children would get say, a Beatles or Monkees record for their Birthday, and hip people were buying Jazz/Soul/Mod/Psych etc, but who the hell was buying Cowsills albums?
haha not gonna publicly embarrass anyone, if people wanna know they can dm ;)
I called their label when they were looking for a replacement for her. No idea why cos it wasnβt my type of music
Yeah exactly, he spent 50 years having people say βnever eard of youβ and the one time someone would have gone βomg this is amazingβ heβd been conditioned out of it haha
He probably goes round all the time telling people heβs in (famous prog band), never gets questioned but instead I was like βwait, no you werenβt, you were in The ******, Iβve got your second 7β on columbia, killer b side!β Unlucky
Once I sold a Synth on ebay and the guy who came to pick it up told me he was in (famous prog band) but unfortunately for him I knew he was actually in the mod-psych band that preceded them. I enthused a bit because I like them much more than fpb, but it was awkward.
We are βwant all the remaining characters to get brutally murderedβ episodes in
All the stuff about massed teenagers being terrifying and disgusting is bang on though.
Yellowjackets is good but the amount of effort put in to finding food initially was pathetic, and thereβs no point where anyone looks hungry or underfed enough to resort to cannibalism
1953. It would appear that absolutely NOTHING has changed
