History made at the World Junior Figure Skating Championships today! For the first time ever, Canadian pairs finished 1-2 in the pairs event at the Championships. Ava Kemp & Yohnatan Elizarov were the first Canadian pair to win the World Junior title since Barbara Underhill and Paul Martini in 1978.

We're feeling pretty happy about it. Practices have been going well. We think the program was a little cautious, everything felt slightly off and we're a little disappointed with that, but I think we're really happy, it's a step up from last year.
