I did contact Vernier today and they also have 5W resistors. Thanks for the info Dan!

#iteachphysics Anyone know why the Ohm's Law lab for Vernier uses a 10 ohm resistor? The exp file does not specify the max Watts and so I didn't even think about it...after burning out two resistors and checking the circuit, I discovered they were 0.25W which means I am limited to about 0.158A.

#iteachphysics I am ISO a cheap adjustable strobe light (battery powered) that can produce accurate strobe frequencies up to 30 hz. Phones are banned in my district. Thanks for any ideas.
