Senator Tim Sheehy of Montana, a Navy veteran, assaulted a U.S. Marine at the Capitol yesterday. He cannot plausibly claim that the Capitol Police needed his help. Sheehy committed a crime. He should resign and be prosecuted for it.

How about holding Trump and his minions accountable to law, reining in SCOTUS, ending ICE, and insisting that Congress decide when we go to war?
Every two or four years I read the speculation that Texas will elect a Democrat to statewide office or to the U.S. Senate. It wonβt. The election rules in that state are set up to favor the GOP and the electorate is clearly Republican-leaning.
He will join his parents in a grave if he takes that job. The Israelis will for sure make that happen.
WTF is "elite human capital"?
This is straight-up open corruption.
I understand that Iranβs government is hostile to the US and should be deterred. I donβt understand how it is legal to bypass Congress when starting a war or what this war is intended to achieve.
The AG is a politician, a manager, not a litigator. She or he does not and should not try cases or argue appeals. And I think Griswold is saying that her pushing of the Anderson case was an argument. She was a party. I cannot say that is wrong except in strict lawyer language.
EXCLUSIVE: At more than 30 installations, U.S. commanders told troops the war on Iran is a Christian war.
The Military Religious Freedom Foundation has been βinundatedβ with more than 110 complaints.
One NCO said they were told the U.S. war is to bring about Armageddon and the return of Jesusβ¦
I encourage you to watch Harrison Ford's remarks. This is a good man, lifting up others. We need more of this.
Khameini was evil. Itβs good heβs dead.
It's a bad look for Democrats to take stances that can be seen as favorable to the regime in Tehran. Better to focus on the question of Congressional approval and the safety of U.S. personnel. Khameini, etc. deserve no sympathy. And forget about the 1950s coup, which is not very relevant now.
Gonzales has very little money. Hick has a lot of money. Game over. Though Hick is too old to be in public office any longer and should therefore retire . . .
Democrats should focus on the importance of Congressional decision making on wars, and point out strategic worries, but not comment in ways that might seem sympathetic to the Iranian regime. Khamenei and his helpers are/were evil. Make that clear.
Trump should've gone to Congress for authorization. But shed no tears for Khamenei and his henchmen. Iran has been a determined U.S. enemy for near 50 years. It has spread terrorism, killed its own citizens, murdered Americans. And the radical Islamists there took hostages in 1979. Justice is done.
Here we are, into the first day of a new U.S. war and with several other conflicts raging, and this idiot, who holds no appointed office in the U.S. government, is going to be given this diplomatic responsibility.
The American people are not likely to learn, at least not very quickly, about any American casualties in this new war. Pete Hegseth's Pentagon has made clear its disdain for the press, after all.
Fine, but in the end Schumer will settle for the White House accepting a stern letter of concern.
How long until John Fetterman announces he's all in on the war against Iran and that we should not criticize Trump over it?
We will pay the price for the irresponsible appointment of RFK Jr. for many years to come.
Unless, God forbid, a military uses nuclear bombs dropped from above, air power is not enough to win a war. History shows that even significant aerial bombardment and associated destruction does not defeat an enemy. Nor does it lead to regime change. If Trump is serious, ground troops are needed.
Epstein corrupted our politics, our legal system, and even medicine. Wow. Any doctor who did these things should lose her or his license to practice. www.nytimes.com/2026/02/28/u...
Trump will drop a bunch of bombs, claim victory, and move on. He does not have the slightest idea about strategy or long-term thinking. And U.S. credibility will be heavily damaged by this approach, too, because every adversary will know it can just wait out a barrage and then Trump will back down.
Who works out in jeans? Doing so makes no sense.
Who watches TV news?
More of this, please, Democrats. Oh, and be sure you follow through. The worst thing you can do is promise to be tough and then wimp out.
There are still people on the left who justify putting Trump back in the WH, rather than voting for Harris, because they think Israel's war is Joe Biden's fault.
Yes, many voters think Democrats are weak. With good reason. And I haven't seen much evidence that those reasons have gone away.
Appalling: ICE and CBP contracted for $144 million in weaponry and accessories in Trump's first year, per data obtained by Sen Adam Schiff.
For ICE it's a fourfold increase, much of it for military-style weapons. A heavily armed secret police force. 1/
